Why hope?

It is the real driver of transformation for vulnerable children.

We believe it is the ultimate assurance

Vulnerable children and their families face many challenges that hinder their God-given potential. While physical needs like food, education, and safety are urgent, the deepest struggles stem from broken relationships—with God, others, and themselves. What they long for most are loving, healing relationships: communities that walk alongside them and mentors who restore their sense of worth and connection. As these relationships are renewed, they begin to write a new story shaped by belonging and the love of God.

Education

We are committed to educating vulnerable children by operating K–12 schools and drop-in centres, partially or fully subsidizing tuition according to need, training teachers to improve capacity, running vocational and trade schools for youth and young adults, providing scholarships for tertiary education, and nurturing community leadership.

Health

We support health and well-being through lunch programs, urgent medical, dental, and emergency care, trauma counselling, food relief initiatives, sexual abuse prevention education, and recreational programs including sports. We also foster emotional well-being through celebrations of birthdays, holidays, and milestones.

Discipleship

We provide children and youth with opportunities to grow in faith through Bible education, spiritual support, mentorship, youth cadet programs, and wisdom discovery sessions. Programs include pastoral training and opportunities for baptism, equipping children to develop a personal relationship with Christ.

How do we bring hope to every child's story?

Through the Hope Story way

We walk alongside local churches to care for the whole child. They are meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs so children can rise above their circumstances and grow into thriving members of their communities.

This is not about a one-size-fits-all model or simply scaling programs. It is about going deep and building strong, Christ-centered relationships that foster trust, accountability, and transformation that lasts for generations.

At the heart of it all are partnerships grounded in shared values and purpose, with transparency and integrity guiding every step.

For many children, life brings daily challenges for them and their families.

Hope Story shares my love of children...the best “inventions” ever! Through Hope Story I have “met” such beautiful kids and feel like I am truly making a difference in their lives. Through emails, phone calls and online interviews, I feel like I am an integral - even though small - part of the work they do. Congratulations on 25 years of sharing hope!
