Offering hope, holistic care, and discipleship to vulnerable children and families in Medellín’s most underserved communities.

Founded in 2010 by members of CENFOL Church, Tiempo de Paz began with just eight children and a deep commitment to meet the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of vulnerable youth. Today, the foundation operates across three low-income communes—San Javier, Villa Hermosa (Boston), and Guayabal—providing safe spaces for children aged 5–12 while also supporting their families. Tiempo de Paz addresses challenges such as poverty, gang activity, displacement, and the Venezuelan migration crisis, ensuring that children have access to education, emotional care, and a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.
Tiempo de Paz provides a safe, welcoming environment for children from vulnerable backgrounds affected by poverty, gang activity, displacement, and migration. Hope Story, together with other partners, comes alongside the Foundation by supporting academic enrichment, music and computer classes, swimming lessons, daily meals, and discipleship programs.
From early childhood through adolescence, children receive academic support alongside Bible stories, devotionals, and worship that nurture their spiritual growth. Youth participate in discipleship groups that develop character, decision-making skills, and relational health, laying a strong foundation for adulthood. Emotional and psychosocial support is integrated into all programs, helping children overcome trauma and build resilience.
Parents and families are also supported through Bible studies, spiritual workshops, and counselling, strengthening family structures and fostering a culture of care. Outreach extends into small communes, where Tiempo de Paz meets children and families where they are, offering practical care, mentorship, and spiritual guidance.
