With school fees covered, supplies in hand, and basic needs met, they could focus on what truly mattered—learning.
In the kitchen, the scent of warm meals filled the air—a silent promise that no child would go hungry, no matter how high food prices soared. Meanwhile, change was stirring beyond the Centre’s walls. In November, several children took brave steps back into their communities, reuniting with relatives and guardians. Their homecomings were a step toward a future shaped by love, stability, and belonging.
That future is being carefully built in alignment with Kenya’s Children Act of 2022. Seven children became the first to take part in a pilot reintegration program of transitioning the children back to their communities. Social workers walked alongside families, equipping them with the tools for positive parenting, ensuring that these reunions weren’t just hopeful beginnings but lasting transformations.

Faith, too, found deeper roots. The discipleship program touched 1,525 lives, with 28 Poultry Discipleship Groups flourishing across the county.
Women are also stepping into new possibilities. Training on poultry keeping is set to begin, unraveling opportunities that will not only change their lives but ripple. Co-founders Eric and Anita Walters, who visited at the end of last year, engaged deeply with the children and local communities. Their heart for service continues to guide their efforts, especially in fundraising and inspiring action among the Centre’s supporters.

Though the road ahead is not without its challenges—rising food and education costs stretching resources thin—the Centre presses on. Amidst these struggles, it continues to nourish bodies, strengthen spirits, and walk alongside families as they navigate their new roles. Children are dreaming bigger, communities are growing stronger, and step by step, hope is becoming more tangible.
Prayer Requests:
- We ask for God’s provision for graduates of the program. May doors of opportunity open, and may they find meaningful employment that aligns with their skills and purpose.
- Pray for the launch of the poultry project for women. May all necessary tools and resources be acquired smoothly, and may the program have a lasting impact.
- Pray for the children who were reintegrated to the community. May their new homes be welcoming, and their futures filled with hope and stability.
