Taking the initiative, she, along with her sister Tarah*, worked with the Living Hope Church Director to plan the event. They coordinated every detail—a scenic hike, a shared meal, and a cozy campfire at their family’s home just outside Thunder Bay.
On the day of the hike, the weather was less than ideal. Bitter cold and strong winds deterred some from attending, but for those who came, it was an unforgettable experience. Sarah and Tarah took the lead, organizing and guiding the group, ensuring that everything went smoothly.
Sarah’s parents, who hosted the gathering, felt a deep sense of pride and joy as they welcomed the youth into their home. The warmth and gratitude shared by the group made the experience deeply meaningful for them, strengthening their connection to the community.
With her growing confidence, she is already looking ahead to planning more gatherings, eager to make an even bigger impact in the future.
