New Homes, New Journeys, and Renewed Hope in Kenya

Key Highlights

Season of Growth

Creation of Hope continues to support children as Kenya’s new policy moves them from residential care into family and community settings.

Komu Siblings’ New Home

Some children, like the Komu siblings, lacked next of kin. Funds were raised for a safe home, and on August 18, 2025, they moved in under their eldest sibling's care, with supervision from a great-uncle who donated the land.

Vehicle Blessing

On the same day, the community celebrated the blessing of a second-hand Toyota Hilux, funded by supporters. This vehicle will transport staff, children, and supplies for a decade to assist those in foster or extended families.

Prayer Corner

  • We pray for the 19 children moving safely into family homes in November, as determined by social workers. We also lift up the remaining 10 children, asking God to guide the search for stable homes for them.
  • As CoH navigates funding challenges with rising food costs and the Canadian dollar’s decline against the Kenyan shilling, grant them wisdom in budgeting and planning to steward resources faithfully for the children’s needs.
  • We praise God for the progress in the poultry project and for the farmers who have successfully sold chickens and faithfully given their cost share, contributing their own resources to the program and showing their commitment.
  • We give thanks for the success of Ruth’s visit, the Hope Soars Gala, and the dessert nights, praising God for the impact and blessings shared for the children and communities in Kenya.
