Marketing Coordinator Intern

Hope Story partners with local churches around the world to transform the lives of vulnerable children through education, health, and discipleship. We believe in the global church and its ability to change children's lives. We work in 7 countries where we come alongside churches doing great work.

Responsibilities

  1. Social Media and Content Creation
    • Assist in developing and creating engaging social media posts (text, images, videos) to highlight Hope Story’s programs, impact, and campaigns.
    • Plan and schedule posts to ensure consistent and mission-aligned messaging across platforms.
    • Organize and maintain a content library (photos, videos, written materials) for future use.
  2. Documentation and Marketing Support
    • Assist in creating and updating brochures, guides, and resources to explain Hope Story’s mission, programs, and opportunities for involvement.
    • Provide marketing and communication assistance for events, including designing promotional materials, live social media updates, and post-event reports.
  3. Donor and Sponsorship Support
    • Draft updates for sponsors, sharing progress about sponsored children and programs to maintain a personal connection with supporters.
    • Assist in donor appreciation efforts by preparing thank-you emails, phone calls, and personalized updates.
    • Help compile and distribute program impact reports to donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Canadian youth (aged 15 to 30). Canada Summer Jobs is a program under the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS), which aims to provide quality summer employment opportunities for youth (ages 15-30) to develop skills and gain paid work experience to successfully transition into the labour market.

Education: Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing, social media, or donor relations (non-profit experience is an asset).

Skills:

Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for compelling storytelling.

Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.

Graphic design (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

A collaborative spirit and commitment to Hope Story’s mission.
