How Generosity Is Helping Families Rebuild In Lebanon

Thanks in part to Hope Story's Easter Campaign for Lebanon, which successfully reached its food box matching goal, approximately 1,000 families received food assistance through the Relief Center, helping households meet basic daily needs during a season when many were struggling to secure consistent meals. Winter brought additional challenges, particularly for families relying on seasonal agricultural work, which often disappears during the colder months. In response, the ministry distributed fuel vouchers, blankets, and mattresses to approximately 600 families, helping them endure harsh weather conditions with greater comfort and dignity.

The Charity Shop welcomed approximately 1,600 families this quarter, providing clothing and essential items in a welcoming environment that preserves dignity while meeting practical needs. At the same time, the Medical Ministry continued distributing chronic medications to around 400 families each month, ensuring that those managing long-term health conditions could continue receiving treatment despite financial hardship.

Educational programs for children and literacy classes for women currently serve approximately 200 participants, creating pathways toward greater confidence, learning, and opportunity. In addition, nearly 600 children participate in daily devotions and chapel programs, where they receive both spiritual encouragement and biblical teaching as part of their daily routine.

The ministry's weekly Bible study continues to be a powerful expression of community and faith. Each Wednesday, around 80 participants, many from Muslim backgrounds, gather to ask questions, discuss Scripture, and explore matters of faith in an open and welcoming environment. These relationships often begin through practical support but often develop into opportunities for deeper connection, trust, and spiritual growth.

Toward the end of the quarter, the situation shifted dramatically as renewed conflict in the region led to an influx of newly displaced families arriving in the Bekaa Valley. Many arrived with limited resources, uncertain futures, and deep emotional burdens. As a result, True Vine has begun adapting its ministries to respond to these emerging needs, with particular attention given to displaced families and women who have lost their husbands and are now seeking refuge in the area. Despite increasing demand and limited resources, the ministry continues to provide practical support, educational opportunities, spiritual encouragement, and a welcoming community for some of the region's most vulnerable families.

Prayer
  • Pray for displaced families arriving in Lebanon, particularly those fleeing conflict and uncertainty, that they would find safety, provision, and places of belonging.
  • Pray for the staff and volunteers of True Vine Church as they respond to growing needs with limited resources, asking God to provide wisdom, strength, and endurance.
  • Pray for the children participating in educational and discipleship programs, that they would continue to grow in confidence, stability, and hope as they rebuild their lives.
