Faith in Motion: Thunder Bay Youth Build, Lead, and Grow

Key Highlights

New Ministry Vehicle

The Centre obtained a second-hand 4x4 vehicle, facilitating ministry trips and relieving volunteers who previously used their own vehicles on rough roads.

Warrior Leadership Summit

Recent fundraisers raised over $5,000 for WLS, a Native youth conference that strengthens faith in Jesus. Some attendees joined the On Eagles Wings Ministry Summer of Hope program, which empowers them to share God's love in their communities.

Hands-On Skills Development

Youth gain practical skills through house-building, sawmilling, and brush clearing to mitigate fire risks. They also enjoy bushcraft, camping, outdoor cooking, and team games at the Centre.

Prayer Corner
  • We pray for the youth of Thunder Bay and surrounding communities to find belonging, strength, and the assurance they are not alone. Bless those starting high school or university, and surround newcomers with God’s comfort, friendships, and mentors.
  • Praise God for the opportunities this past summer—camping, portaging, climbing, and serving at the Beaver Lake feast.
  • We also thank God for the youth who attended the Warrior Leadership Summit in Illinois, where they learned about courage, resilience, commitment, and identity in Christ. May those seeds take root and flourish.
  • Please pray for Andrew as he balances leading the youth centre and stepping into leadership of a First Nations outreach. Pray for wisdom, strength, and discernment for him and the board as they seek a full-time leader, so NHYC continues to be a place of light, hope, and belonging.
