Many children silently carry burdens—grief, trauma, and responsibilities beyond their years. Yet at Amani School, Christian counselling is an integral part of daily life, providing students and families a pathway to healing and restoration. Missionary Olivier’s training in Nairobi is equipping him with the skills to offer professional, faith-based support to those who need it most, ensuring that no one walks alone in their pain.
Too often, young people are overlooked, their voices unheard, and their potential dismissed before they have a chance to grow. But at Amani School, the next generation is empowered to lead. Through mentorship and cultural exchange, students gain experiences beyond their community. A recent youth camp in Kenya became a transformative moment for 10 young people from Pande, who connected with peers from across East Africa, shared their faith journeys, and discovered their capacity to inspire change.

Thanks to generous supporters, two wells now provide clean water for students, livestock, and crops, bringing relief to families once burdened by water scarcity.
Agricultural officers Tadeo and Kangaja have also planted green vegetables for a school project, using well water for irrigation, while the school’s goats and chickens benefit from the same source. The school is also preparing to offer a new sports field and expanded high school facilities, with these exciting developments underway to further support the children’s growth.
In Pande, the saying “educating a woman is educating the entire society” rings true, as poultry farming provides women with the means to support their families. One student in the poultry class is already putting her lessons into practice—she has purchased 100 chicks and is diligently following the procedures taught in class. Determined to master poultry farming, she sees it as a path to success, creating a better future for herself and her community.

Through home visits, Amani School uncovers not only the hardships students face but also the hidden talents waiting to be nurtured. One such visit revealed a young boy with an extraordinary gift for building radios from scrap materials. His creativity, sparked by curiosity and resourcefulness, is a reminder of the untapped potential within many children, who only need encouragement to thrive.
Prayer Requests:
- We pray for all the students who are sick; may God restore their health and strength.
- Praise God for the cooks of the feeding program who have faithfully served the school, preparing delicious and nourishing meals for the students.
- Praise God for the provision of first aid kits, which bring relief to students and staff, and for the teachers trained in first aid, who are equipped to assist with medical needs.
