Be a Church Champion!
Working alongside local in-country church partners is at the heart of what Hope Story does. We believe that local churches are best positioned to serve the children in their own communities.
Churches can leverage in-country volunteers, meet a child's needs in culturally relevant ways, and ensure that the ministry has longevity through being rooted in local community support.

Two current Hope Story Church Champions recently shared:
"As a church we have been privileged to partner with Hope Story/Amani School project in Tanzania for a number of years. It is exciting to be a partner with a ministry that is directly impacting the lives of children and their community for Christ. It is also exciting to see how lives are being changed through the ever-progressing ministries at Amani. The ministries at Amani and the testimony of the staff have challenged us to be more purposeful in our local outreach. We are truly blessed by our partnership with Hope Story & the Amani School."
David Ellis, Crestwicke Baptist Church, Guelph, ON
“After hearing about the incredible work that Hope Story and Tiempo de Paz were doing in Medellin, Colombia - I immediately wanted to be a part of it. And after travelling to visit the kids there, and seeing the love, compassion and dedication of all of the staff, and the transformation that not only the kids were experiencing but also their families, I knew that God is doing amazing things in these communities. We feel very blessed at Calvary Church in Cambridge, to be able to partner with God and to support this ministry for the last few years. We are looking forward to visiting them again very soon!”

Madison Eckert
Church and Teams Engagement OfficerMadison worked at her local church for seven years prior to joining the Hope Story team and was involved in a church plant. Much of her role included serving as a bridge between the community and the church, viewing partnerships with schools and other local organizations as an integral part of the church’s mission in the city. This also included a longer-term commitment to integrating her life in a more impoverished neighbourhood in which she learned about the complexities of poverty head-on and sought holistic community development. Madison has experience in preaching and facilitating seminars and hosting events, and she also hosted her own podcast, The Courage To, where she interviewed individuals from around the world. She has her bachelor's degree from Kings University College and is currently completing a Master’s in Theology at Tyndale Seminary. She lives in Hamilton, ON.
