Where We Work

Lebanon

The people of Lebanon have experienced one of the worst financial crises in centuries recently - and yet at the same time the country has continued to absorb an influx of Syrian refugees, all desperately in need. Nearly a quarter of the Lebanese population are Syrian refugees. Refugee parents have experienced the violence of war and their children are dealing with second-hand trauma. Families are in need of more than just food and shelter; children, moms, dads, and grandparents are in need of compassion as well.

True Vine Church

Hope Story's partner in Lebanon, True Vine Church, is bringing hope and holistic support to this hurting community. Living generously and out of faith and God's provision, this church continues to find new ways to pour out hope onto hopelessness.

True Vine Church was established about 20 years ago with community outreach at its heart. And in 2011 when the Syrian civil war broke out, True Vine Church mobilized quickly to provide love and care for many of the million+ refugees who flooded over the border. The pastoral team and congregation members provide whole person care for vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian children and their families in the community.

True Vine provides children with education by trauma-informed educators, emergency food, organized sports & recreation opportunities, and counseling. The church is also committed to reaching the community with the love ad message of Jesus.
